How Do You Convert Celsius To Degrees Fahrenheit?
Most countries in the world measure temperature using the Celsius scale, in which water freezes at 0 degrees and boils at 100 degrees. In the United States, however, the Fahrenheit scale is commonly used to express the temperature. Water freezes at 32 degrees and boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. You can easily convert to the Fahrenheit scale using online temperature converters or simply compute it on a pocket calculator using a formula. Read the temperature on a Celsius thermometer. Suppose, for instance, your temperature reading is 18 degrees Celsius. Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9 and then divide the product by 5. In the example, the value is (18 x 9) / 5 = 32.4. Add 32 to the result from Step 2 to calculate degrees Fahrenheit. In that example, the temperature is 32.4 + 32 = 64.4 Fahrenheit. Start a Web browser, for example Internet Explorer, on your computer. Navigate to a temperature conversion website (See Resources).
