How Do You Convert ASCII Files To JPG Files?
If you want to retain the formatting of an ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) file to put on a website, for a slideshow or for other presentation purposes, it is often easier to convert the ASCII file to a JPG (short for Joint Photographics Experts Group) file. There are no reliable ways to accomplish this automatically through a batch file conversion process; but thankfully, it is easy to do manually. Download, install and run MWSnap (see Resources). Open your ASCII file. Click “Any rect. area.” Click “Snap any area.” Click one corner of the area you would like to convert to JPG, then move the mouse to the opposite corner of the area and click again; MWSnap window will open again. Click “File”, then “Save as…” Click the down arrow beside “Save as type:”, select “JPEG files (*.jpg)” and name your file.
