How Do You Convert An Audio File To A MIDI File?

0

A musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) allows electronic musical instruments to communicate with one another. Further, MIDI files do not transmit audio in a traditional sense. Instead, it allows for sounds to be manipulated so that the pitch and tempo of a file can be changed. You can convert traditional audio files to MIDI files using conversion software. Download and install the audio to MIDI converter (see Resources). Import your audio file by clicking the folder icon located in the lower left-hand corner of the application. The application can handle MP1, MP2, MP3, Wave and CD audio. Select the output format. The default is MIDI on the program, but check to make sure that it is set to MIDI. Change the settings if you would like to alter the pitch of the file. There is a scroll bar called “Tune” where you can increase or decrease the pitch. Choose a musical instrument to convert the file into. The default is set to grand piano, but you can choose from a variety of instruments
