Portable Document Format (PDF) represents a de facto global standard for secure information exchange that is compatible across multiple systems. In some cases, however, it is more convenient to work with compact JPEG digital images; for example, you can easily insert them into a PowerPoint presentation or incorporate them into a website. The popular Adobe Acrobat software provides an option for a straightforward conversion of a PDF to JPEG images. Double-click the “Adobe Acrobat” icon on the Desktop or in the Quick Launch area to open the program. Press Ctrl+O and browse to a PDF file on your computer. Double-click the PDF filename to open the document. Press Shift+Ctrl+S on your keyboard to bring up the “Save As” window. Select “JPEG (*.jpg, *.jpeg)” as a file type, then press “Save” to convert the PDF file to JPEG images. Note that each page will be saved as a separate file.
