How Do You Convert A Word Document Into HTML?

0

Sharing a Microsoft Word document on the Internet or a company intranet is easier if the document is in HTML format. Converting a document to HTML requires the removal of the Word syntax and replacement with HTML code. Microsoft has added this functionality in most versions of Word to expedite this process. The converted document will contain the data from the original Word document but lack some of the cosmetic formatting. Open Microsoft Word from the “Start” button on the windows menu bar. Create a Word document with the text “This is a test of HTML from Word”. Click on “File” from tool bar select the option “Save as” . Select the file type to save the document as “Web Page (*.htm;*.html)”. Save the file as name “test.html” to the “c:” drive on your computer. Close Microsoft Word and open the web browser. Enter “file:///c:test.html” in the URL of the web browser and press the enter key. The newly created HTML document will display in the browser window, verifying it was saved as HTML
