3GP is a standard type of file used on 3G mobile phones. It is similar to the MP4 file type, but requires less bandwidth and storage space. While 3GP files were originally designed for cell phones, many popular media players, including RealPlayer and Quicktime, can now play the 3GP file type as well. If you have video files like AVI or MPEG saved to your computer that you would like to view on your 3G mobile phone, you can convert those file types to 3GP. Download and install the AVS Video Converter (see Resources). AVS converts between many popular file types and has recently added 3GP as an option.
