How Do You Convert A MIDI File To A Music CD?

0

Unlike most audio files, MIDI files do not contain a specific music recording, but rather the instructions for playing the music. Using a classical symphony as an analogy, an MP3 would be a recording of a particular orchestra playing the piece. A MIDI would be the sheet music. Converting a MIDI file to a music CD requires a process known as “burning” the CD. One advantage of MIDI files is you can burn them to a CD right in Windows itself. However, because MIDI files differ from MP3s as noted above, not all CD players will play music CDs made from MIDI files. But all computers will. Insert the blank CD into your computer. Select the MIDI files you wish to convert in Windows Explorer. Click “Copy the selected items” under “File and Folder Tasks” in the left-hand window. Select the CD drive and click “Copy.” Click the notification balloon that appears along the bottom of your screen. Click “Write these files to CD” under “CD Writing Tasks.” Confirm the burning and wait for it to complete.
