How Do You Convert A GBI File To An ISO With Nero?
Disk-image files are exactly what they sound like. It’s as though your computer took a snapshot of the information on a disk and preserved it as one file instead of copying all the data files individually. The two file extensions most closely associated with this process are .gbi and .iso. Converting from one to the other is easy (for a small fee, usually), but it requires a separate, stand-alone program. Unfortunately, your favorite burning software like Nero can’t handle .gbi files directly, so you’ll need to convert to .iso before you can burn a new disk. Get a read/convert utility like gBurner or Magic ISO. Both programs offer some sort of free enticement. Magic ISO has a free version that limits functionality and file size while gBurner offers a fully functioning free trial. Complete versions each run about $30. Open the .gbi image file with your chosen program. Under “File,” hit Open, then locate the file. Select convert and choose .iso from the drop-down menu for the output file
