How Do You Control The Neighbors Dandelion Seeds?
Dandelions can be the bane of your landscape because these weeds can get out of control in no time. The seeds of these yellow flowers can travel from your neighbors’ houses via the wind and they can land in a grassy area where they crowd other beneficial plants. Although it is difficult to stop seeds from landing on your property, you can take steps to control early dandelions so they are easier to get rid of. Maintain a healthy lawn so dandelions do not set up residence. Mow the grass so that the lawn is around 2 inches tall and leave the clippings on the ground to act as a mulch. Apply additional grass seeds to your lawn to allow the lawn to push out any potential weeds. Monitor your outdoor areas every week to search for any signs of dandelions. Look for these yellow flowers along fence lines, sidewalk boundaries, flower beds, grassy regions and ornamental areas. By spotting early intruders, you have a better chance of controlling them.
