How Do You Construct An AA Solar Battery Charger?
With today’s focus on “green” energy, as well as the fact that so many of our daily gadgets run on AA batteries, buying rechargeable batteries has become a standard practice, albeit an expensive one. However, using a simple process and some basic tools, you can build your own solar-powered battery charger out of some cheap, easily-obtained hobby electronics. Instead of the power that charges your batteries coming from a wall socket, it’ll flow from the sun itself. Tape the two battery holders together securely, making sure the leads and battery slots are clear of the tape and easily accessible. Wire the leads together in series positive-to-negative until you have two leads remaining; a positive from one holder and a negative from the other. Mount your solar panel and blocking diode on the circuit board. Solder the ringed end of the blocking diode to the positive lead from the battery holders, and the other end to the positive (red) lead on the solar panel. Solder the negative (black) l
