How Do You Construct A Tree Diagram?
Tree diagrams are used in a corporate environment to delegate tasks and goals among selected employees. As its name suggests, it consists of several responsibilities and tasks branching off of one overarching goal or theme. Tree diagrams are extremely helpful to organize what needs to be done and properly distributing work loads among the employees. Tree diagrams also tie the team of employees together, and shows to them how their jobs all are contributing to the big overall picture. It is also an excellent training tool that shows employees how a large goal can be realized by breaking it down into small bits and creating steps to take to assure it gets done. Select a specific goal you wish for your company, and decide specifically which individuals you want to work on this project. Conduct a meeting with all of these “team members” in which you state the overall goal of the team. This will be your goal statement, and will be placed at the top of the tree diagram.
