If you are having problems connecting to another person using the modem, try the following: Click on the Start button. Click on Settings. Click on Control Panel Click on Modem Click on Properties Click on the Connection tab Click on the Advanced tab Make sure that Use Flow Control is checked, and set to Hardware. Make sure Error Control is set to Compress Data. Then, add to the extra settings field S12=0 and S0=4. S0=4: Makes the modem wait for the 4th ring before picking up the call. S12=0: Sets the modem delay to 0. You may also want to consult your documentation or call your modem manufacturer to ensure that your modem is TAPI compliant. Tiberian Sun (and all Westwood games) use the TAPI standard for modem communication. In addition, you might try switching who is calling and who is answering. Occasionally some modems may have difficulty receiving calls from a particular type of modem.
