“Right now we’re going to talk about serial ATA hard drives that’s spelled SATA is the newest kind of hard drive and it’s the easiest to install on a PC. So what I have here is a serial ATA hard drive and I flipped it around so you can see the connectors from the bottom, there isn’t a whole lot of missing with this so first you need to identify the different parts where the cables go. This one is long connector right here, this one is for the power and the power connector looks like this and you can see that it’s about the same length as the power connector and there really isn’t a wrong way to connect it cause if you try to put it on backwards it simply will not go in. This is the data connector this is where thin cable like this connects and as you can see right there, it’s about as big as a connector and just like the power if you try to connect on backwards it’s simply not going to go in.
