How Do You Connect PS2 Games Online?
In 2002, Sony released a network adapter for their highly popular PlayStation 2 video game console. The adapter, which connects to the PS2’s expansion bay, enables players to connect their PS2s to the Internet for online gaming. Developers took advantage of the adapter’s abilities and included online features into many popular games, such as “Final Fantasy XI,” “Star Wars: Battlefront” and “SOCOM: US Navy Seals.” The online features proved popular enough that Sony included an Ethernet port in their updated “Slimline” model of the PS2, eliminating the need for a separate network adapter. Locate the rectangular expansion bay cover on the rear of the PS2. If your PS2 is placed horizontally, it will be located on the bottom-left of the console. If your PS2 is placed vertically, it will be located in the upper-left. Grip the indentation on the expansion bay cover with your finger and carefully remove the cover from the system. Place the PS2 network adapter over the expansion bay, with the a
