Windows Mail, also referred to as Microsoft Mail, is an email client program on Windows-based computers that supports three main server types, Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3), Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) servers. If you are a Yahoo! user and you would like to send and receive emails from Windows Mail, you must have a Yahoo! Mail Plus account. Since Yahoo! Mail Plus supports the POP3 platform, you must use this server type when configuring your account in Windows Mail. Open Windows Mail, select “Tools” and then choose “Accounts” from the drop-down menu. The Accounts dialog box opens.
