How Do You Connect Lines To Kites When Kiteboarding?
When you’re kiteboarding, it’s extremely important to connect the lines correctly. All the connections should be equal distance from the kite. Since the lines are the way that you control the kite, it pays to make sure that they are right. Crossed lines mean you don’t have the control that you need. Stand in between the lines. The inside lines are the front lines. You should use two different colors of lines or mark the connection on the line with an “F” (for “front”) so that you never accidentally hook a back edge line to the front. Connect the front line on one side. Slide the connection together. You can make this a foolproof task by adding a larkshead to the pigtails on the leading edge and the knots on the center line end. Finish one side by attaching the pigtail and lines together for the back edge of the kite.
