How Do You Connect Four Large Advent Speakers?
Advent is an audio company best known for manufacturing floor-standing loudspeakers for stereo component systems. The company also makers smaller surround sound speaker systems and audio accessories. Advent’s large floor speakers must be connected to an amplifier or receiver with speaker wire to receive the audio signal for reproducing sound. The wires connect to a pair of terminals on the back of each Advent speaker. Arrange the four speakers in the room as desired. For better sound, set the speakers in pairs as far apart as practical for stereo separation of the audio channels. Cut four speaker wires, each long enough to reach between the amplifier or receiver and the Advents. Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends. Unscrew the two terminals on the back of each Advent about halfway to expose the metal post underneath, then wrap the two bare speaker wires separately around the posts.
