How Do You Connect Fiberglass To An RV Roof?
Building a roof over the patio in front of your RV is a popular way to expand the living space at your home away from home. Once your roof is up, your patio is sheltered from the elements. You sit there watching the rain, you decide to pop inside to grab a drink, you walk under the gap between the RV and the new roof, and you are soaked. To fill this gap, attach the patio roof to the RV. One way to accomplish this is with fiberglass. Set up your stepladder at one side of the RV on flat ground. Climb onto the roof while a helper holds the ladder securely. Measure from the corner of the roof to a point 1 inch in from the end and 3 inches in from the gap you are covering with your tape measure. Place a mark at this point with your pencil. Make the same measurement mark on the opposite side of the patio roof. Stretch your chalk line between these two marks and pop the line against the roof to make a mark.
