How Do You Connect Dual Four Ohm Kicker Speakers?
Dual 4-ohm subwoofers, like those made by Kicker, are well-suited for several different types of subwoofer and amplifier configurations. How you connect the subs to your amplifier will make a big difference in the resistance the amplifier encounters–a key element in the power output of the amplifier. You don’t need any special tools or materials to connect the subs. Cut a length of speaker wire that reaches from your amplifier to the subwoofer. Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from the leads on both ends of the wire. Loosen the terminals of the amplifier and slide the bare ends of the speaker wire leads into the terminals. The positive wire goes into the positive terminal, and the negative to the negative. Tighten the terminals. Cut a second length of speaker wire that reaches from the first set of terminals on the sub to the second set. Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from the end of each lead. Push down the terminal posts of the sub’s first set of terminals and slide the leads from the s
