How Do You Connect An Xbox Controller?
Whether you have an original Xbox gaming console or the newer Xbox 360, a controller is required to interact with your games. The original Xbox was released with a classic wired controller, while the Xbox 360 came with the option of a wired or wireless controller. Unfortunately, original Xbox controllers cannot be connected to an Xbox 360. Connect all parts to the Xbox controller, including the second half of the cord that connects to the inline release. Grasp the end of the controller cord and insert the open end securely into an empty controller port on the front of your Xbox. Ensure that the end of the cord is inserted firmly into the controller port before using the controller. Flip up the small door at the bottom of the front of your Xbox 360 console to reveal two USB ports. Insert the end of your wired controller into an open USB port until the cord is secure.
