Toshiba DVD players allow users to view movies, television shows and other media on their televisions. DVD players read information stored on DVD discs and transcribe the information for display on the television. In order to use your Toshiba DVD player to view DVD discs, you need to connect it to your television. You can connect the DVD player to your television using two different methods, depending on the type of television you own. Plug the component cables into the “Video Out” and “Analog Audio Out” jacks on the back of the DVD player. The cables and jacks are color coded; each cable is plugged into the same colored jack. If your television has an S-Video jack, plug the S-Video cable into “S-Video Out” jack on the DVD player and unplug the yellow component cable.
