How Do You Connect A TEAC HDB848 To A Television & VCR?
The TEAC HDB848 is a digital set-top box for connecting a high definition video signal to a television. You can connect a VCR in between the TEAC and a TV to record and watch shows on videotape using standard composite AV cables. However, the recorded programs will be in standard definition only as a VCR can only record in standard definition. The color-coded cables for hooking up the VCR to the TEAC and the TV match the jack colors on the components. Connect the coaxial cable from a source signal, such as cable TV service, to the RF jack on the back of the TEAC. Turn the metal ferrule on the end of the cable clockwise to lock it onto the TEAC. Plug in one of the composite AV cables from the three composite out jacks on the back of the TEAC to the three input/record jacks on the rear of the VCR. Each plug color matches a jack.
