How Do You Connect A LCD HDTV To A PC With Component Cables?
A liquid crystal display (LCD) high-definition television is equipped with component jacks for connecting audio/video cables. The plugs on the cables are color-coded for simplified connections between the TV and other equipment, such as a computer. Depending on the PC, there are two ways to connect an LCD TV to a computer: either directly with component jacks if the computer has them, or with a pair of adapters for modifying the video and audio connections to work with the PC. Insert the RGB (red, green, blue) plugs on the component cables into the Video IN jacks on the back of the LCD HDTV. Check the back of the computer’s central processing unit (CPU). If the CPU has component jacks, connect the cables from the HDTV directly to the back of the PC. Otherwise, continue to Step 3. Insert the plugs on the component cables into component jacks on one end of a VGA-to-component adapter, matching the color-coded plugs to the adapter jacks. Connect the VGA plug on the adapter to the VGA port
