They can also receive documents from other fax machines and also print them. The connection required is a simple analog phone extension and can be connected easily. It is important to test the fax machine, once connected, to ensure it is able to transmit and receive faxes properly and that a phone connected to the fax machine can also be used to receive incoming and place outgoing calls. Disconnect the phone jack for the phone extension from the back of the telephone. Plug the jack into the fax machine in the port labeled ‘LINE IN’.
