How Do You Connect A Digital-To-Analog Converter Box?
Digital-to-analog converter boxes are used to transform television programming from a cable, satellite or broadcasting service into a signal that can be processed on older TVs. The box connects between the TV and the signal source, such as a satellite receiver, with two coaxial cables. Once connected, the box can be programmed quickly by pushing a single button. Converter boxes typically come with a remote control for changing channels. Connect the coaxial cable from the programming source to the “Coax In” or “RF In” jack on the digital converter box. The coupler on the end of the cable turns clockwise to secure it to the outer threads on the jack. Attach a second coaxial cable to the “Out to TV” or “Coax Out” jack on the digital-to-analog converter box in the same manner as described in step 1. Connect the other end of the cable to the “RF In” jack on the back of the TV. Turn on the converter box and press the “Scan” button to program the available TV channels.
