How Do You Connect A Canon Digital Tape Camcorder To PC?
Canon digital tape camcorders are equipped with a Firewire port (also known as IEEE 1394) for connecting the device to other components for high-speed transfer of recorded video. This makes it simple to connect to a PC with a Firewire port. A specific type of Firewire cable is needed for this hookup. The plug on one end must contain four pins for the Canon camcorder connection and the plug on the other end must have six pins for the PC connection. Turn off the Canon camcorder and open the Firewire port cover on the back of the camera. The six-sided port will be labeled DV OUT.
