If you have new internet service or change your service to High Speed Internet you will need to have a Local Area Connection set up in order to get Internet Access. Also if you have been using your laptop at work under a VPN (Virtual Private Network) and start using it at home, you’ll need to make sure you have a Local Area Connection as well. Here’s how you get the Ethernet Connection and your Local Area Connection. Click on your start button, open Control Panel, and double-click on Network Connections.
