The Microsoft Office XP software package adds the powerful feature of full speech recognition to the Windows XP operating system. The Windows XP speech recognition software converts spoken words into text. It will work with all programs requiring text entry, including web browsers and word processors. It’s relatively simple to configure and use. Plug in a microphone or headset before configuring the speech recognition software in Windows XP.
