Yahoo! Mail Plus is a premium Yahoo! Mail account that offers enhanced features not provided in the free Yahoo! email accounts. Some of the enhancements include Post Office Protocol (POP) access, which allows you to use your account with any email client program; Yahoo! AddressGuard, a feature that allows you to use disposable email addresses; and email forwarding. To configure and use Outlook 2007 for your email needs, you must have a Yahoo! Mail Plus account. Visit the Yahoo! Mail Plus home page (see Resources), select the “Upgrade Now” button, type in your Yahoo! ID and password, and then follow the prompts to upgrade your free Yahoo! Mail account. Open Outlook, select “Tools” and then choose “Account Settings” from the drop-down menu. Select the “Email” tab, then choose the “New” button. Choose the “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” option and select “Next.” Select “Internet E-mail,” click “Next” and choose “POP3” from the “Account Type” drop-down menu.
