If you are a Yahoo! user and you would like to configure your account in Microsoft Outlook, you must have a paid subscription account, also known as Yahoo! Mail Plus. The free Yahoo! Mail account does not support Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3). Since Outlook uses POP3, only Yahoo! Mail Plus account holders can configure and use Outlook to send and receive emails successfully.
