How Do You Configure Dual Channel Memory On A Lenovo T60?

0

The Lenovo T60 laptop computer comes with two memory slots enabled, allowing you to take advantage of faster RAM speeds offered by Dual Channel memory. Enabling Dual Channel Memory is a simple process, and only requires that you have two memory modules installed in your laptop at once. You can make this modification in a relatively short time with the right hardware. Turn off your T60 laptop computer, unplug it, and remove its battery. Turn the computer upside down. Remove the palm rest by removing the 4 screws underneath the computer that are horizontally in line with each other and each have a keyboard symbol next to them. Once removed, lay them to the side and turn the laptop right side up. Flex the palm rest towards the middle by pressing in on the sides until it pops up. Lift it up, disconnect the cable from the palm rest to the motherboard and then lay the palm rest to the side. Remove any memory modules present (if necessary) by spreading the latches on either side of the memory
