How Do You Configure AOL Dial Up Connnection Manually?
AOL’s Internet service includes a dial-up option. Using a dial-up modem connected to a phone line, you can sign on to AOL and begin surfing the Internet. Make sure you are signed off of the AOL service before you start this tutorial. Step 1 Open AOL Dialer by going to “Start,” “Programs” then “AOL Dialer.” Step 2 Click “Edit,” “AOL Dialer Settings,” “Connectivity,” then “Connect Options.” Step 3 On the bottom left of the screen, click “Advanced Settings.” Step 4 Under the “Modems” tab, click “Add Modem” on the bottom left. Step 5 Under “Select Modem Type,” choose the modem you own from the list. Leave the other settings as is, then click “Save” and close the Advanced Settings window. Step 6 Close the “Connection Options” window and sign on to AOL with your newly configured dial-up modem.
