SonicWALL’s TZ 100 acts as both a computer router (which takes an existing Internet connection and creates a network from it) as well as a firewall that keeps the data transmitted over that network secure. To configure your TZ 100 to work with your computer’s DSL Internet connection, simply install the device onto your existing computer setup. Connect an Ethernet cable to the network output on the back of your DSL modem. It does not matter which end of the Ethernet cable you use. Connect the same Ethernet cable to the “Internet” input on the back of your TZ 100 SonicWALL firewall/router unit. Connect your computer to your TZ 100 using a separate Ethernet cable. Plug either end (it does not matter which end of the Ethernet cable you use) of an additional Ethernet cable into the Ethernet jack on the back of your computer.
