How Do You Configure A 2Wire Router?
A 2Wire router is distributed by many major broadband providers such as AT&T and NetZero. The 2Wire router is usually configured to serve as a DSL modem and wireless router. Installation instructions and a CD are included with your 2Wire package; however, if these original items are not available or were misplaced, PCs and Macs can use a browser to configure a 2Wire router and get their network up and running. Connect your router to your computer using the Ethernet cable inserted into the appropriate ports. Launch your browser and type the following in the address bar: http://gateway.2.wire.net Click the tab for “Home Network.” In the right-hand frame, “Status at a Glance,” click the button next to the “Wireless” option (in the Home Network section) and set to “Disable.” Click the “Wireless Settings” link in the top menu bar.
