How Do You Completely Uninstall Quicktime?
Quicktime is a software package developed by Apple that supports real-time streaming of pictures, sound, and video. Quicktime works across multiple operating systems, such as Windows and Mac computers. Websites and desktop applications, such as iTunes, use QuickTime. However, if you are upgrading to a newer version of QuickTime or having problems on your computer, you may consider uninstalling QuickTime. Open the “Control Panel.” The Control Panel can be found in the Start Menu located on the lower left hand corner of the screen. Select “Programs and Features” or “Add or Remove Programs” depending on which version of Microsoft Windows you are using. If you are using Windows Vista, you can select “Switch to Classic View” from the left hand panel to view the traditional Control Panel display. Select “QuickTime” from the list of available programs. Select “Uninstall” or “Change/Remove”, dependent on your version of Windows. Click “OK” to confirm that you want to remove QuickTime.
