How do you complete the Hoenn pokedex to get the generation 2 starter pokemon in emerald?
In order to get the Johto Starter in Emerald you have to complete the pokedex by catching every Hoenn Dex pokemon. For Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum you have to “complete” the pokedex by seeing every pokemon in Sinnoh. But after you beat the Elite Four Oak gives you the National Dex and asks the same things as Rowan, except this time you have to Catch every pokemon. Seeing the pokemon only counts for DPP, and even then it only counts until you see all the pokemon in the Sinnoh Dex.
