How Do You Complete A Tide Pool Webquest?
Tide pools are rocky shorelines by oceans, filled with seawater as the tide rises and falls. Plant and animals that make tide pools their home have to be adaptable to handle the wet and dry conditions of the environment. Completing a webquest allows students to explore tide pools in depth and process information at their own pace. Learn about the four subdivisions of the tide pools. Each ecosystem is exposed to different conditions. They also provide homes to different animal and plant species. Visit a tide pool or complete a virtual tour to become more familiar with the different species (see Resources). Pick one animal or plant from a tidal zone and explore it in depth by collecting data and analyzing results. Complete a report about your findings. Include species description, its place in the food chain and which subdivision it calls home. Draw a picture or make a model of your species to complete the report. Present your findings. Share your report with your class or create a multi
