LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), Plasma and DLP (Digital Light Processing), are the three major types of large high-definition televisions available in 2010. Each of the three technologies create a picture in an entirely different way and therefore have different strengths and weaknesses. Before purchasing a HDTV it is important to consider which strengths you would like the television to have, and which weaknesses you can deal with. Measure the space where you want the TV to fit in and compare that to the overall size of the three different types of televisions.
