How Do You Compare GPS Features To Get The Best System For You?
The best way to compare GPS features is to first understand what features these systems offer. All of these after-market, automotive GPS devices do the same basic things. Virtually all have the same upgrades. What you need to do then is to understand what’s being sold by whom, then establish a budget and pick out the best model for you. Finding the right GPS system seems a little daunting. One good thing is by sticking to the three main manufacturers, Garmin, Magellan, and Tom Tom, you won’t go wrong. In my experience all three make very good devices! I’m not going to tell you which one I own, but I would not mind owning a unit made by any of the three. So, what we need is a little education as far as what’s being offered. Then we’ll talk about the upgrades available for more money. All GPS systems show you where you are and calculate how to get where you want to go. All of the ones made by Garmin, Tom Tom, or Magellan have touch screens with well thought through user interfaces. In ad
