How Do You Combat Bullying In Schools?
Bullying is undoubtedly a growing problem in many school systems throughout the country. Because of the increasing amount of violent acts in school within the past decade, anti-bullying policies and other preventative measures are being practiced as a way to combat the problem. First, decide if your child’s school has a bullying problem. Talk to other parents and see what their thoughts are on the issue. If you believe you can gain enough support, talk to the administration. Discuss with the appropriate officials what can be done to prevent bullying in schools. Talk about drafting and implementing an anti-bullying policy for the following school year. Research other similar policies that have been used in the area. Examine the contents and use the documents as a reference when deciding what should ultimately be included in the policy. Acquire as many supporters as you can to show the school and board of education that bullying is a growing problem that needs to be examined more closely
