How Do You Clear The Search Engine History?

Browsers save search history to use later for the autofill function and to suggest search phrases to the pop-up menu in both the browser’s search field and any search engine’s search field. To protect your privacy from others using your computer, you may want to clear your browser’s search history. This action differs from deleting the history of sites visited. The most popular browsers make it easy to delete both at once. Click the “Tools” drop-down menu. Click “Delete Browsing History.” Select “Delete history” and “Delete forms.” The former deletes browsing history. The latter deletes search history. Select “Close.” Right-click the input field of the search bar. Click “Clear Search History.” If these words are grayed out, you have no history to delete. If this step fails, go to Step 3. Click the “Tools” drop-down menu.
