When you type something into a Google address search bar, the program uses your search history to try to predict what you are searching for. This can be helpful if you want to quickly pull up a previously visited website. On the other hand, it also can be distracting when you are looking for new websites. Also, if another user has your computer, the address bar will show him the websites you have visited in the past. To clear the Google address or search bar, you have to clear your browser history.
