How Do You Clear Internet Explorer History & Cache Cookies?
By default, Internet Explorer keeps a record of the websites you visit and stores the information on your computer as temporary Internet files (browser history). Cookies on the other hand are text files that a website stores on your computer to keep track of information about your activity on the site. If you have not cleared your browsing history and cookies in a while, your computer begins to slow down, and you may start to run into browsing problems. Launch Internet Explorer and click the “Safety” menu located on the top of your browser if you are using Internet Explorer 8. For IE 7 users, click the “Tools” menu on the top of your browser. Click “Delete Browsing History” from the pop-up menu. Place a check on the following categories: Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History.
