Most paper shredder jams are caused by putting too much paper into the shredder at one time. If you can hear the motor of your shredder slowing as you put paper through, you are likely putting too many sheets at one time and running the risk of causing a jam. Attempt switching between the shredder’s forward and reverse settings. The alternating motion could dislodge whatever has stopped the blades. If the shredder cannot eject the obstruction itself and you cannot reach to pull it out, you may need to apply shredder oil.
