As with any other tool you use for spellwork, ritual or divination, the tarot deck should be cleansed regularly. The deck, as with other tools, can pick up some negative, or fuzzy, energies when handled by others. This oftentimes happens if you allow the person you are reading for to handle the deck. It is not to say that the other person is negative, or bad, but a majority of the time the passing of such draining energies is unintentional. For example, such energies result from stress, anxiety, fear or distrust. None of us are immune having a bad day now and then.
