How Do You Clean Wood Pergot Floors After Waxing?

0

Unlike real wood floors, Pergo laminate floors should never be waxed. However, accidents happen. If you accidentally waxed your Pergo floors and need to get rid of the resulting dull build-up, here are some ideas you can try. Try to scrape off as much of the waxy residue as possible using an old credit card. Mix 1 cup of vinegar into 1 gallon of plain, warm water. Dip the mop in the solution and wring it out well. Too much water can damage laminate. Use the mop to remove the wax, mopping in one direction only (not back and forth). Wipe the floor dry with paper towels or microfiber cleaning cloths. Mix 3 gallons of water with 1/4 cup of ammonia and a squirt of dish soap. Fill a second bucket with cold water. Spot test the ammonia/water mixture on an inconspicuous part of the floor to ensure that it will not damage the finish. Dip the mop into the ammonia/water mixture and wring it out well. Mop a square about 4 feet on each side with this mixture. Then rinse the mop off in the cold wate
