So you have top off your windshield washer fluid reservoir. You get in the car and try to wash your windshield and noting happens. Well don’t worry, just follow the steps below to continue. Items you will need are a piece of thin wire (guitar strings works really well), a needle, an air compressor, a hose, and air-aerosol can. Park the car on a level ground and in a shady area so you don’t get burned by the sun. Find your washer jets. The owner’s manual should tell you the exact location of your jets. Clean out your jets with a thin wire. Insert the wire into the jets to clean it out. If you want, you can use an air-aerosol can and spray air into the jets. The jets should now work. If they don’t, proceed to step 7. Open up your hood. Find the washer tubes. It is connected to the jets. Clean the washer tubes with air. Remove the “T” connector and spray air into the jets. Repeat for the other side. Try it again. If it still doesn’t work, you may have to replace the pump.
