It is very important that horses have access to fresh clean water whenever they need it, so if you plan to haul your horses you will need to provide some sort of water in the trailer. Just be sure that those water tanks are kept clean. Cleaning the water tanks is not difficult, but it is important to use the right procedures. Drain the water tanks thoroughly before getting started. Allow the water to drain into a bucket then remove the tanks from the trailer. Place the drained water tanks on the ground and spray the exterior of the tanks with a high pressure hose. If you have access to a pressure washer you can use that, otherwise use a hose with a high pressure nozzle. Be sure that dirt and debris is removed from the outside of the tanks.
