How Do You Clean Washer Drain Pipes?
Regular use can cause your washing machine’s drain pipe to become clogged. Debris such has dirt, paper and lint can accidentally be sucked down the washer drain pipe. Over time, these items become lodged in the drain pipe causing your washing machine not to work properly. A clogged pipe will not allow the water in your washing machine to drain, which will leave you with wet, soggy clothes. The good news is that a clogged drain pipe is relatively simple to deal with. Find the drain pipe that is secured to the back of the washing machine. The drain pipe will be large and flexible. Remove the screws and plate that secure the drain pipe to the washer. Hold the drain pipe over a 5-gallon bucket and allow the water that is in the pipe to drain into the bucket. Insert the drain snake into the pipe. Work the snake in a back and forth motion. The snake will push and break-up the blockage clogging the pipe. Once the blockage has been removed, pull the drain snake out. Replace the drain pipe and
