How Do You Clean Tough Soap Scum & Water Softeners?
Soap scum, water softeners and hard water stains can be difficult to remove. This can cause frustration, especially if you think you’ve tried everything. Thankfully, there are some simple solutions to cleaning these tough stains, and once you have what you need and follow some simple instructions, you will be amazed at just how easy cleaning is. The best part is that you don’t have to use harsh chemicals to get rid of these tough stains. Mix 4 cups of hot water with 2 tbps. of lemon juice. The water should be as hot as you can get it from the faucet, or you can warm it in the microwave. Fill a clean spray bottle with the water/lemon juice mixture. Make sure the water and lemon juice are mixed well. Spray the stained areas with the mixture and let sit for about 10 minutes. When spraying, keep the spray bottle at arm’s length. Wipe the sprayed area with a clean wet sponge. Repeat step three if necessary.
